Cumberland Heights – Nashville, TN – 12 Step Based

“The Men’s Center offers gender-responsive treatment for adult men ages 18 and up. An interactive and action-based style of counseling creates accountability within a community of peers so you will feel challenged and supported at the same time.

The Women’s Center at Cumberland Heights provides a safe, home-like environment in women-only spaces with female staff. Because we know safety and community are key to your recovery, our program lets you explore at your own pace in a community of women who listen and support you as you find your voice. We deal with marriage and family problems, parenting concerns, body image, and violence issues with sensitivity and respect.
The Traditional programs are based on a minimum stay of 30 days. This allows for in-depth exploration of how addiction has impacted your life and provides time to establish a foundation for lifelong recovery. Your counselor will guide you in identifying issues to be addressed in treatment and outline steps you need to take to establish that foundation.”

Passages – Malibu, CA

“We do not believe that drug and alcohol dependency is a disease. Instead, we believe your addiction is the result of one or more of the following four causes:

  1. Chemical imbalance
  2. Unresolved events from the past
  3. Beliefs you hold that are inconsistent with what is true
  4. Inability to cope with current conditions

Anyone who is abusing drugs and alcohol is doing so because of one or more of those four causes. Everyone who has come to Passages has had one or more of those causes present. Over the years, we have learned through extensive research that addiction is not the problem, but rather a symptom of a deeper underlying issue.”
